If using a vice, be careful not to squeeze the valve body as this could alter the internal dimensions of the valve and affect its performance. Grip the valve at the outlet or across the branches. Remove the internal components, element with its spring, slide valve assembly, return spring and baffle tube. Be careful when handling the internal components.
