Insert the return spring followed by the slide valve assembly. The double element assembly should be fitted with the broader element guide uppermost. Replace the valve cover assembly, carefully engaging the threads and screwing the cover into the valve body until the faces meet and come to a stop. Replace the strainer basket and strainer cap. Re-engage the inlet strainer assembly with the captive coupling nut.
