Disengage the hot and cold side inlet strainer assemblies - separate both from the main thermostatic mixing valve body assembly. Remove the strainer cap and the strainer basket then remove the thermostatic mixing valve cover assembly. This reveals the cold seat that is located on the underside of the cover assembly. Place the cover assembly on the work surface with the exposed seat facing upwards to prevent damage to the seat. Remove the double thermostat element assembly then the stainless steel slide valve assembly - this exposes the hot valve face. Ensure the hot valve face is facing upwards to avoid damage. Finally remove the return spring.
