Thermal Disinfection Facility Built-in to Shower Range

Having proven its efficacy in a number of hospital trials, retrofitted upstream of what were regarded 'problem' outlets for Pseudomonas contamination, we are pleased to announce that the ILTDU (in-line thermal disinfection unit) has now been incorporated into our range of TSV1-3 surface mounted shower panels.

Now an integral part of the shower panel, access and operation of the unit for regular thermal disinfection - right down to the point of water discharge - is a very easy process for monthly or fortnightly treatment, or even between patients (occupying a single room with en-suite).

The ILTDU is located at the top of the shower panel and forms the 'inlets' for the hot and cold water supplies. An adapted pipe cover with a slot for the unit’s operation key then covers the mechanism. Our original Pipe Cover is available in 2 lengths, 465mm and 940mm, and therefore panels with integral ILTDU are available with either length of pipe cover.

To accommodate the new range of shower options (40 additions at the last count!), our product coding system has been updated. A ‘T’ suffix to the code denotes ‘thermal disinfection unit’ and the 4 or 9 that follows refers to the pipe cover length. For example a

T105T4 is a standard T105A shower plus an integrated ILTDU and 465mm pipe cover.

T106T92L is a standard T106A2L shower plus an integrated ILTDU and 940mm pipe cover.

Our first order of shower panels with integrated ILTDU is leaving our factory this week and we look forward to hearing from Ipswich Hospital on the success of the 36 number T105T4 planned for installation at the Garrett Anderson Centre.
