Brookfield Multiplex last week handed over the new South Glasgow Hospitals to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
The £800m construction project was the largest healthcare project in the UK and was delivered ahead of schedule and under budget. We are very pleased to have had a small part to play in its development with the provision of 2558 No. Optitherm clinical handwash taps and 1313 No. specialised shower panels. Much of the hospital is made up of single en-suite patient rooms that all feature an Optitherm tap and a T108A2L shower panel with pipe cover in the en-suite. Installation pictures, taken during the construction phase, in the exemplar rooms (now to be a Critical Care ward area without en-suites) can be seen in our blog post NSGH Exemplar.
Prior to the hospital accepting patients in May, we are assisting the Estates Team with product and maintenance training for FM staff and user training for nursing and medical staff.
