The New South Glasgow Hospitals Project, currently under construction by Principal Contractor Brookfield Multiplex for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, will give Glasgow one of the most advanced adult acute services hospitals in the UK and will be the biggest critical care complex in Scotland.
We are delighted to contribute to this prestigious project following the selection of our award-winning Optitherm thermostatic clinical tap and our TSV1 surface mounted shower panels for use on the 1,109 bed adult acute hospital and the 256 bed children's hospital on the same site.
Recently we were accompanied onto site by Mercury Engineering, the project's mechanical subcontractor, to take photographs of the Optitherm and the TSV1-A108A2L shower panels so far installed in the exemplar rooms.
The photographs above show the clinical area with a clean and practical layout where the Optitherm taps serve, sometimes back to back, clinical wash hand basins and sluice troughs. Assisted WC and shower rooms off the main ward area feature our thermostatic shower panel with hose, handset and specialist lever controls that give the user additional independence.
Following a detailed product selection process, the Optitherm and TSV1 shower panels were chosen for the project owing to the many benefits embedded in their designs - not only for the installing contractor, but also patients, Infection prevention, nursing and medical staff, cleaning staff, maintenance providers, budget holders whilst also meeting with the stringent healthcare performance regulations.
The finished South Glasgow Hospitals will contain approximately 3,300 Optitherm and 1,200 TSV1 shower panels. Follow the links to learn more about why the Optitherm and Shower Panels appeal to the various stakeholders.
