The entire surface of the tap is fully accessible for complete and effective cleaning. We have designed out dirt traps and the surface is continuously smooth to allow for thorough and effective cleaning, which will aid in the fight against hospital acquired infection.
When cleaning the basin area, it is important that the Optitherm is cleaned with a single-use cloth and following cleaning of the basin and its drain trap (with a different cleaning cloth). This is to minimise the risk of retrograde contamination of the tap's outlet, which can have implications for pathogenic contamination, for example Pseudomonas, and spread of infection.
