A tough exterior hides a kind heart. Horne pre-plumbed shower panels are precisely suited to mental health and secure or prison environments, some social care settings and learning disability care. In these settings there's often a risk of challenging behaviours, wilful abuse and self-harm.

The pre-plumbed extruded aluminium panels are highly robust, durable and tolerant of abuse and vandalism. All models feature Type 3 (healthcare) Approved thermostatic valves as well as specialised and ruggedised ligature resistant controls and outlet fittings for self harm reduction.

Safe from self Harm

Robust chromium-plated, brass and die cast zinc controls and shower head with optimised ligature resistant geometry
Optional pipe cover, matching profile of shower panel, removes the ligature risk associated with the water supply pipe drops. Rear entry, concealed water supplies via flexible braided hoses are also available
Dual mode showers with integral, automatic (via detachable hose), flow diverter facilitate both unsupervised and assisted showering, for more vulnerable users
Maintenance access only with specialist security tools

Safe and comfortably warm

Healthcare approved thermostatic shower valve, set at 41C, offers reliable, accurate and consistent temperature control
Optimal flow rate governed by 8 Litre / min flow regulator - uniform and consistent flow, combined with comfortable temperature minimises distress
Protection from burns: the pre-plumbed durable aluminium casing shields the user from the high surface temperature, usually around 60°C, of the hot water supply pipe

Safe from Pathogens

Flexible rubber nozzles allow for easy in-situ cleaning of the shower head spray-plate. It's also removable for cleaning or substitution
Flushing facility improves water supply quality; shearing harmful biofilm from internal pipe surfaces and removing to drain
Optional integral ILTDU, In-line Thermal Disinfection Unit, allows for the periodic thermal disinfection of the pipework and all downstream components, aiding the management of retrograde contamination by pathogens, e.g. Pseudomonas Aeruginosa
Easy to clean, with warm water and mild detergent.
