All Horne shower panels that feature the integral ILTDU include a blanking plug (Part No. 71-6568) for the key hole in the pipe cover.  

By blanking the key slot between thermal disinfection operations, hygiene and ease of cleaning is improved for infection prevention purposes.  The plug also serves to discourage vulnerable users in secure and mental health settings from engineering a ligature point at the pipe cover key hole.

Extract the plug before, and replace after, routine ILTDU thermal disinfection using this magnetic Removal Tool.
