Our Maintenance Training Seminar (MTS), which covers product designs and features, installation, commissioning and on-going maintenance of Horne thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs), TSV1-3 thermostatic shower valves and the Building Better Healthcare award-winning Optitherm thermostatic tap for clinical handwashing, has recently been audited and approved by the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) as a CPD course.
The training seminars are available free-of-charge to in-house maintenance and estate teams and FM contract providers at NHS Trusts, private care homes, prisons, education and sport and leisure establishments.
In the last 12 months, over 20 organizations have benefitted from Horne maintenance training seminars. Our trainer has observed that even very experienced personnel comment on how valuable the training has been for them and their company. Everyone learns something and the feedback from the attendees has been very positive.
Horne’s policy of pricing spares on a cost plus basis rather than trying to maximize prices unfairly is quickly recognised by users and the time taken to learn how to test and repair our products is quickly repaid. A recent example was given by a fitter who had replaced a leaking valve with a new valve when all that was required was a few minutes of his time and an 11 pence seal!
If you maintain large numbers of Horne TMVs, showers or taps, why not extend their operational life with a training session for your team?
