A simplified, cost-effective installation

Many communal group shower installations typically found in municipal swimming pools and leisure facilities comprise an exposed mechanical push button timed flow control, supplied by a length of chrome plated pipe, connected by a further length of chrome pipe to a fixed shower head - a relatively complicated and unsightly installation to start with.

The new Duŝo shower column takes its water supply from above, which directly enters the shower head without the need for a flow path down to the actuator mechanism and then, back up to the point of discharge.  This allows for a much more compact arrangement and greatly reduces the pipework deadleg.  This design also impacts positively on costs - the labour content during installation is both simplified and significantly reduced.

The image above shows how the Duŝo starts by its hydraulic actuator mechanism - releasing a small volume of water in the capillary tube creates a pressure differential in the shower head. The flow is forced to start by the static pressure of the incoming water supply.
