| For
a number of years, Horne products have been specified for inclusion
in various social housing wards. This has mainly been in response
to a scalding incident or a risk assessment where it has been
recommended that the housing group install thermostatic mixing
valves.
More
recently, a number of action groups such as the children's charities
have been lobbying the government for changes to the building
regulations and for the installation of thermostatic mixing valves
to the bath to become mandatory in all new build and refurb buildings.
The
Building Regulations are set to change in the spring of 2006 and
for this emerging market, we have specifically developed a TMV
that will cope with the conditions typical of social housing.
