Specially designed for the domestic market to reduce the potential for scalding accidents. From 1 May 2006 (Scotland) and 6th April 2010 (England, Wales & NI), all new build and refurbished dwellings require to have a thermostatic mixing valve fitted to the bath. The TMV T2 is approved to all Type 2 designations, including low pressure bath applications (Heatstat T2 DN20). Requires installation kit.
The two newsletters below detail give further detail on the Water Burns Like Fire campaign for safe warm water in the domestic setting and the subsequent changes to the Scottish Building Standards. More recently, changes introduced into Part G of the UK Building Regulations state that bath water must not to exceed 48°C and this can be achieved by fitting a Type 2 TMV.
All Heatstat T2 TMV configurations are listed below. Use the check box to add the installation kit. The line drawing and product code will automatically update when the check box settings are altered.
