Features & Benefits

More than 80 years of development and expertise have resulted in the current range of Horne TMVs, with a focus on innovation, reliability, efficiency, safety and durability.

All Horne TMVs provide accurate and reliable temperature control. If either water supply fails, the valve mecahnism will automatically shut down on the remaining live supply to prevent scalding (in the event of cold water supply failure) or thermal shock (in the event of hot water supply failure).

Horne TMVs sized DN15 - DN25 are provided with full bore, fine mesh strainers to protect the valve mechanism and any downstream fittings, for example taps and showers from damage, which will affect its performance. All TMVs include full bore fine mesh strainers, angle pattern inlets and check valves, while a variety of options are available, such as integral isolating valves, wall mounting kits and covers.

Horne 15 and Horne 20 TMVs are also certified as Type 3, so are compliant with the performance requirements of the NHS Model Engineering Specifications D08 Thermostatic Mixing Valves (Healthcare Premises). 100% performance testing is carried out prior to despatching and these can be supplied with a bronze or chromium plated finish.

TMVs sized DN32 - DN50 can be used for larger group mixing applications ( Dead Leg or DL versions) such as a providing mixed water to a large group of showers with a high flow demand.  The patented high flow- low flow feature of the Horne 40 and Horne 50 TMVs ensures exceptional thermostatic performance for single outlet or multiple outlet usage.   Recirulating versions of the valve have additional components that allow for the continuous circulation of hot water around a building such as a school or hospital.
