The shower panels we have developed for healthcare utilise the Type 3 Approved dual control HORNE TSV1-3 thermostatic shower valve. This valve has been independently tested and certified as compliant with NHS Model Engineering Specifications D 08 Thermostatic Mixing Valves (Healthcare Premises).
Our design allows users to control both the water temperature, up to a preset maximum, and the flow duration. Minimal torque is required to operate the flow and temperature controls and, for users with limited hand mobility, addtional levers can be specified. A robust and simple to use slide bar can also be provided. During commissioning, a maximum water temperature level is set to ensure users do not accidentally exceed safe limits and scald themselves.
All shower panel options suitable for healthcare are listed below. Select, using the radio buttons, standard connection (through top of panel) or flexible braided hose (with WRAS Approved Soft-PEX liner) for concealed entry through the rear of the panel. BS 8300 compliant lever controls can be selected using the checkbox. The line drawing and product code will automatically update when either the radio button or check box settings are altered.
