Institute of Healthcare Engineers and Estates Managers (IHEEM) Healthcare Estates Annual Conference and Exhibition. Manchester Central, 1-2 November 2011.
Surface mounted shower panels for assisted and secure environments were featured in our mock-up wetroom. The control of Legionella is also enhanced using the Optitherm thermostatic tap's Thermal Disinfection Adaptor. This new kit was demonstrated at the show and complemented with an illustrative animation showing the procedure and thermal imaging video. Infection Prevention Society Conference and Exhibition, 19-21 September 2011, Bournemouth International Centre.
Here we showcased the award-winning Optitherm Thermostatic Tap - demonstrating, in particular, the specialist features that aid in reducing the spread of hospital acquired infection: hands-free operation after hand washing is complete, easy to clean and maintain whilst minimising disruption to healthcare staff. Also demonstrated was its facility for flushing the water supplies to reduce biofilm and also the new Thermal Disinfection Adaptor. The latter two features allow enhanced compliance with the regulations relating to Legionella control. Also on display was our bimodal (Unassisted and supervised showering modes) surface mounted shower panel with ligature resistant controls for secure settings.

We participate in these small regional meetings to bring the Optitherm Thermostatic Tap to nursing and medical staff and help them to make informed decisions about product selection.
Healthcare Associated Infection Technologies Programme, Showcase Events.
We have exhibited the Optitherm Thermostatic Tap at a number of HCAI Showcase Hospital (the Optitherm is installed in 2 Showcase Hospitals: Southampton General Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary) events to raise awareness amongst nursing and medical staff of the features and benefits of the award-winning Optitherm. This series of events is now complete.
